Show Notes:

How to Land Your Next $10 000 Web Design Job

On today’s show, we talk about how you can give yourself a competitive edge over your competition when tendering for a job and charge more in the process. We talk about how we land big web design jobs, and why having the confidence to charge more than most other web developers can actually work out not only better for us, but also better for our clients.

Some of the key things to take away from this podcast are:

  • Fish Where the Fish Are: Make sure you are networking with and pitching to potential clients that are prepared to spend a decent amount of money on their website.
  • Believe It, and You Can Achieve It. Believing you can provide more value than other web developers, and making a committment to do so, can go a long way to helping you land the bigger jobs, as potential clients tend to be influenced by your confidence to do the job.
  • Put on a Show. Your sales process is essential to winning the bigger jobs. Work hard to develop client/potential-client relationships, show them that you have researched their industry and demonstrate that you know what you are talking about. Be prepared to answer objections and don’t be coy about askling for their business.

That’s all for now, Enjoy the show!

Firstly, I would like to express how thankful I am for the quality information you both provide. What got me hooked, was that your advice is presented in an engaging applicable manner using real-life examples. I am curious if you had already produced a podcast that covered how to efficiently manage outsourcing and profit from it. Anyways, Keep up the great work Brendon and Tina, I’ll be here listening. Cheers.

Thanks Daron

I don’t think we have – I’ll check and get back to you.
If we haven’t, we’ll look at doing one shortly.

Cheers

Brendon
